Starbucks is offering a free tall brewed coffee to veterans, military service members and military spouses on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2026.
This is a one-day, in-person drink offer at participating U.S. Starbucks stores. It is not a mailed sample, coupon, sweepstakes or Starbucks Rewards offer.
What the offer includes
Eligible customers can choose one tall (12-fluid-ounce) brewed coffee, either hot or iced. Starbucks says the offer is available through café and drive-thru orders.
- Who qualifies: Veterans, military service members and military spouses
- Date: Wednesday, November 11, 2026
- Where: Participating Starbucks stores in the United States
- Cost: Free; the published terms do not list a separate purchase requirement
- Order methods: Café or drive-thru
- Limit: One per customer per visit
Important exclusions
Cold Brew, Nitro beverages and drink customizations are excluded. Because Starbucks specifically limits the promotion to café and drive-thru orders, do not expect it to work through delivery or an app-only transaction.
The official terms do not state that Starbucks Rewards membership is required. They also do not explain what identification, if any, an individual store may request. Participation can vary, so calling the store before making a special trip is sensible.
How to claim the free coffee
- Visit a participating U.S. Starbucks on November 11.
- Order a tall hot or iced brewed coffee in the café or drive-thru.
- Tell the barista that you are using the Veterans Day military offer.
- Keep the order to the included brewed coffee without excluded customizations.
Read the official Starbucks military-community page and Veterans Day terms before visiting, especially if the offer is the main reason for your trip.
