Wendy’s is offering a free Dave’s Single hamburger to veterans and active-duty military members on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2026. No purchase is required.
This is a one-day restaurant promotion at participating U.S. Wendy’s locations. It is not a mailed freebie, coupon for everyone, app reward, sweepstakes, or delivery offer.
Who is eligible?
The offer is for:
- U.S. veterans; and
- active-duty military members.
Wendy’s says eligible guests should simply identify themselves as a veteran or active-duty service member when ordering. The official terms do not list a particular identification document, but individual participating restaurants may reasonably ask questions when applying the military-only offer.
What is included?
Each eligible person can receive one free Dave’s Single. The Dave’s Single is Wendy’s quarter-pound beef hamburger with cheese and standard toppings.
The offer is for the sandwich by itself. Wendy’s specifically says it is not valid as part of a combo, and substitutions are not allowed. Fries, a drink, upgrades, add-ons, tax, and any other items are not included unless a restaurant independently chooses otherwise.
When and where can you claim it?
The promotion is valid only on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at participating Wendy’s restaurants in the United States.
You may order inside the restaurant or through the drive-thru. Participation can vary by location, so calling your local Wendy’s before making a special trip is sensible—especially late in the day.
Important limitations
- No purchase is required.
- Limit one free Dave’s Single per eligible person.
- Valid only November 11, 2026.
- Participating U.S. Wendy’s restaurants only.
- In-restaurant or drive-thru orders only.
- Not valid through the Wendy’s app, website, delivery service, or self-service kiosk.
- Not valid as a combo.
- No substitutions.
- Cannot be combined with another offer or discount.
How to claim the free burger
- Find a nearby Wendy’s and, if convenient, confirm that the location is participating.
- Visit on Wednesday, November 11.
- Order inside or at the drive-thru.
- Identify yourself as a veteran or active-duty military member and request the Veterans Day Dave’s Single offer.
You do not need to register for Wendy’s Rewards, download the app, buy another menu item, or place a digital order. In fact, digital and kiosk orders are excluded.
Is this a good freebie?
For eligible readers, yes. The offer provides a complete hamburger with no required purchase and no app or membership step. The main limitations are the military eligibility requirement, the single-day redemption window, and the fact that franchise participation may vary.
Because the promotion is limited to one sandwich, a companion who is not independently eligible should expect to purchase their own meal. Gratuity is not ordinarily part of counter-service ordering, but any additional food or beverages remain the customer’s responsibility.
